Here is another image taken from my Summer School Class at the Edinburgh College of Art.
This is the first image in the illustrated story.

Developing Illustration

I’ve pretty much been on holiday for the past week or so. I’ve been to see a few things at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and I done a Summer School class at the Edinburgh College of Art – Developing Illustration.
I undertook a project where I drew 6 images inspired by a Poem – The Fog by FR McCreary. I’ll post up the images later. The weeks was excellent, where most of the time was spent trying new techniques and experimenting to bring out the story of the poem.
Here is one of the images I created.

Live - 4

Here is the fourth image in the Live Illustration project. It has been created to look like a Polaroid Picture. I am currently created a Flash presentation to display the Live images. I plan to create 5 images in total and present them on my portfolio website.
The image was taken in Cellardyke Town Hall during the Fence Records Homegame Festival in May 2011. The artist is the fantastic James Yorkston.

Life drawing and anatomy sketches 5

Here's some anatomy sketches of hands. I've been practicing drawing hands. Hands can be hard to draw and I didn't want to continue drawing characters with their hands behind their backs.

Clown Image

Another recent Illustration. It's a clown with a little poem as text.

Octopus Image

Here’s an image I created recently. Thought I’d take a break form life drawing and anatomy and create something different. The text carries on from the text form the Polaroid Pictures. Little poems to counter balance the image.
