Email Story

Thought I’d post this up. It’s a short story I wrote during an ‘Illustrate and Write’ class a few weeks back. During this class I also came up with the first Polaroid Picture (a series of images I am creating and posting on this blog).
Never the less the story involves 3 emails. One from a guy emailing his girlfriend. The girlfriend then emailing a doctor for advice and the doctor replying to the girlfriend. It is an experiment in graphical storytelling and how to establish character through text. I think the emails give a different perspective as opposed to straight up prose. The graphical element does not add to the story, but I do believe that they make the story more visually appealing.
The 3 emails are below. The story is imaginatively entitled – Emails.

Life drawing and anatomy sketches 2

Here’s some more life drawing and anatomy sketches. As with the last drawing post, some of these are taken from the anatomy sketches from my day job. These sketches may find their way onto my portfolio. I’m trying to post up some work everyday (Monday to Friday) to keep myself motivated and creating new work. These posts may be some old stuff that I’ve not put on my portfolio and will include some writing and photographs.

Berlin Photographs 2

Here’s another lot of photos taken with my digital camera during my recent trip to Berlin. Due to pick up some of the Lomography photos I took during the trip tomorrow. I’m just waiting for them to be developed, as the dark room I use can only develop black and white.
I will post up a link to my Flickr on Friday, when hopefully I will have them uploaded. The photos are a mixture of Street Art and buildings and interesting things I seen while walking around. I spent a lot of time taking in the usual sights and also visiting some art galleries and museums.

Here’s some life drawing sketches I’ve done recently and a few drawings of muscle groups. A couple of the sketches are from my day job. I always do life drawing as much as I can. I’ve got loads more life drawing sketches over at my portfolio.

Berlin Photographs1

I’ve posted some Photographs taken on my recent holiday to Berlin. I'll upload more later and probably a batch to my flickr account. I've still got my lomography photos to develop as well. In total I think I took over 400 photos in 6 days. These photos were taken with my Digital Camera.

Even more 3D Graffiti

This is the final image from the PolkaDot Punks exhibition. It's a 3D Poem/Graffiti hybrid. This is the same toy as in this image.
For the exhibition I took the toy out on the street and photographed it as a piece of 3D Graffiti.

Live- New Illustration Project

About a month ago I went to the Fence Records HomeGame festival. I took some photos (will have my lomography photos developed later this week - hopefully). I've taken some of the digital shots I took and have done some illustration work with them. One of the images is below. It is of the band Found. More images like this to follow soon.
